Batsman Sahibzada Farhan to make T20 debut against Australia in Tri-series final

Pakistan are set to hand batsman Sahibzada Farhan his international debut in the T20 tri-series final against Australia in Harare on Sunday.

Speaking on the eve of the final, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed said top-order batsman Farhan is the only change in the playing eleven.

“Farhan will be making his debut tomorrow and he will open in place of Haris Sohail. Hasan Ali is in the 12-man squad,” Sarfraz said.

Sohail made 16 and nought in two outings in the T20 tri-series.

Farhan has been in fine form in white-ball cricket since March. Playing for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, Farhan scored a fine 44 from 33 balls opening the innings in the final in March at Karachi against Peshawar Zalmi, helping his side chase down 149 for the title.

In List A cricket, Farhan has hit 155 and 73 in his last four matches.
