KINGSTON: Mohammad Abbas conquered his dream debut as Pakistan demolished the West Indies top batting order with 5 wickets down on 74 runs. The opening day of the first test of the three-match series at Sabina Park in Jamaica took off on Friday.
As Abbas was sharing the news ball with Mohammad Amir, he managed to pick up 1 wicket for 42 runs in 17 overs. Abbas struck Kraig Brathwhaite for duck on his second ball in international Test cricket. Really similar to Shadab Khan, who also picked up a wicket in his debut match on the exact second ball.
With the West Indies fielding two debutants in the middle-order, Pakistan pressed the advantage even further with Amir picking up 3 wickets, for only 28 runs in 19 overs.

We’ve also seen an extra ordinary catch from pacer, Wahab Riaz today off Yasir Shah’s bowling.
Talking about Yasir Shah’s bowling, He gave away runs… Maybe because West Indies were targeting him for runs, or maybe because he was unlucky a few times. Yasir Shah gave away 91 runs from 24 overs and picking up 2 wickets, as West indies made a good comeback and managed to put up a total of 244(7wkts, 81ov).
With the top order failing to score, Roston Chase, Shane Dowrich, Jason Holder, and Davendra Bishoo managed to make a good fight back, and put up a 244.
West Indies should be eyeing to reach 300+ runs to find hope in beating Pakistan in this test match, as it is very important for both teams to win, especially Pakistan. Chase scored 63 form 151 balls, and got dismissed as Wahab Riaz took a brilliant catch off Yasirs bowling. Dowrich got dismissed at 56 from 130 getting bowled by Yasir Shah. Jason Holder has a score of 30 from 33 balls, and Bishoo has scored 23 off 35 deliveries.

More info about this match will be uploaded to toppakistan.net. Stay Tuned!!
