Junaid Khan return to Pakistan Squad for ODI series against Australia




Junaid Khan has been selected for the ODI series against Australia, as Mohammad Irfan's immediate return to Pakistan due to his mother's death. Inzamam ul Haq, after consulting the team management decided to call up Junaid Khan as a replacement for Mohammad Irfan. "Junaid Khan as Mohammad Irfan's replacement for the five-match ODI Series", said PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board).

Junaid Khan played his last match for Pakistan is May 2015 against Zimbabwe. Since then he hasn't been called up for play, for about 2 years. The upcoming return has delighted the nation and has put them into curiosity for the upcoming series. Hopefully Pakistan can have a better play for the upcoming series.

“Alhamdulillah my hard work has paid off, overwhelmed for being selected. Pray for my safe journey and good performance,” Junaid stated on his twitter account.

Junaid Khan has represented Pakistan for 58 ODIs, took 78 wickets and have conceded 2147 runs bowling.

The ODI series is scheduled to start on on January 14th
