Pakistan regain No. 1 spot in T20 rankings after 2-1 defeat to New Zealand
Pakistan are now ranked No. 1 and will stay No. 1 even if
India whitewashes Sri Lanka in upcoming T20 series. Pakistan are now on 124
points whilst New Zealand are now at 120 points. Pakistan regained their top
position in the ICC T20 rankings after New Zealand balanced series 1-1, and now
have lost 2-1.
New Zealand lost the first match off the three-match series
making them slip to no. 2 and transferring Pakistan to no.1. New Zealand won
their 2nd T20, helping them back to no. 1. Loss of third T20 mowed
New Zealand back to no. 2 and the 2-1 left no chance for India in their next
series to grab the first spot.
